There are 3 types of races.

Maiden Races

– Restricted to horses that have not won a single race. – Horses must win a maiden race to be eligible to race in class races. – Age restricted races (2yo, 3yo, 4yo, 5yo, 6yo+). – Different race distances (short, medium, long) will be catered for in scheduling.

Class Races

– 5 different classes.

– Based on racing points system (can gain or lose points based on placing in race).

– Different race distances (short, medium, long) will be catered for in scheduling.

– In addition to “standard” Class Races, the following race variants will be made available:

– Juvenile Class Races for 2 + 3yo horses.

– Handicap Races (open to all classes to join but handicap applied to them).

– Allowance races have penalties applied (e.g. age, no. of past wins, prize money, recent wins, etc.,.).

Group Races

– Biggest category and equivalent of events

– Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3.

– Will include different high-profile races such as those where the winners gets crowned the best of their age and win the biggest prizes.

– Eligibility based on different criteria such as racing points, amount of prize money won in a season.

– To be held throughout the month with defined schedules to allow for participant planning.
